Morning Rituals

I believe that how our day goes depends on how we start it. I'm no stranger to waking up groggy, moody and frazzled. One of my goals this year is to make that a priority by setting positive intentions that are in alignment with my 2019 goals. For me personally, it helps to recite these affirmations outlaid as it sets the tone for the day. Sometimes sun salutation yoga, sometimes a dance, sometimes a cold shower or breath work. It can even be as small as doing my bed and cleaning up. I find that it is key, behind all these actions, to intend gratitude for the life you've been given. One thing I can be sure of is that setting these morning intentions makes a hell of a difference in comparison to not doing it. It's so good for building revitalizing energy, clarity and focus. How do you start your days? What are your morning rituals?


Some helpful questions to consider:


What does my ideal day look like?


What interrupts me and causes me the most stress?


Is there anything needlessly sucking energy from my work?


What, if anything, is conducive to me performing at a high level?


What can be repeated or automated every single day with little in the way of diminishing returns?


What helps reduce uncertainty in my day?


Is there anything that smart people I admire are doing that I can also use in my own life?
